Contemplative prayer is entered without expectations.
I leave my wants and my demands behind.
I begin my prayer with just me, my empty being.
I simply sit in Spirit’s Presence.
I ask for Spirit to fill me.
I ask for Spirit to fill me even during my non silent parts of the day.
I am learning to release expectations not only during silent prayer, but also during my daily active life.
I am learning to live by the Spirit within.
